YOU MAY ORDER WITH COMPLETE CONFIDENCE! SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED WITH EVERY PURCHASE . Any item that does not please you may be returned for credit or replacement within 14 days of purchase. We cannot guarantee condition or reaction of plants after 14 days in your care. Our plants are free of any pests and diseases to the best of our knowledge. We will not substitute for a sold-out item unless your permission to do so is indicated on the order form.
The website, which is updated at least once a week, features a secure on-line shopping cart system which is easily used by simply pointing and clicking your mouse. You may safely transmit your credit card information via this on-line system!
The plants and supplies on this website may also be ordered by filling out the order forms provided below and either mailing, faxing or phoning in the information, if you prefer to order in this fashion.

SHIPPING METHODS
Unless specified by you, Oak Hill Gardens will choose the safest and most economical method considering climate conditions, distance, and order size. We usually use UPS Ground service to the midwestern states. Priority Mail and Federal Express are usually used on shipments to either coast and the to south, as UPS Ground service would require the plants to be in a box for a few extra days, increasing the risk of damage. Winter weather may delay shipping of your order for weeks. Shipping is prepaid by us and charged to you (except for air freight and truck shipments, which may be sent collect). Larger size potting mix orders may be sent by truck collect or by UPS hundredweight service, if over 200 pounds..
Shipping and Handling Costs
Shipping and handling costs are determined based on the value of the merchandise ordered;guidelines are listed in the chart below. Larger wholesale orders may require a shipping and handling cost of greater than 15%, as the value of the plants has been discounted.

Shipment of plants to Hawaii requires a state phytosanitary certificate, which can take up to a week to procure. There is no longer a cost for this, as long as the order total is over $100.00.
NOTE: orders of heavier items (such as 3 cu. ft. bags of potting media, bulky supply items or plants in soil or clay pots) and orders of lower cost/higher volume plants (i.e. sale items, specials or wholesale orders) will often cost substantially more to ship than the above guidelines dictate. If you are concerned about this, please call us for an estimate first! See more detail in the "HEAVY ITEMS" paragraph.

Shipping of Heavy Items
Heavy or bulky items with a relatively low cost (such as 3 cu ft. bags of potting media) will often require substantially more than the shipping guidelines above indicate for shipping and handling. To more distant locations the shipping charges will be more costly than the merchandise itself. Please contact us for a shipping and handling quotation if you are concerned about the cost and/or want to accurately add the shipping and handling costs to your check or money order payment. We ship these heavy items via UPS ground. There is approximately a 10-15% savings on freight if the UPS Ground shipment weighs over 200 pounds, in which case it qualifies for "UPS Hundredweight" service. We charge a $2.00 per bag packing charge to box up a 3 cu. foot bag or larger (this is in addition to the shipping charge).
PAYMENTS
Illinois residents must add 6.5% sales tax. Customers with established credit may charge orders. Open account terms are net 30 days. Past due accounts are subject to a finance charge of 1½% per month or 18% per annum. The service fee for returned checks is $15.00. WE ACCEPT VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER credit cards.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
We take the greatest possible care in packing your order, however: If a leaf is broken or partially damaged, cut off the damaged part with a razor blade. If a pot is broken, remove the broken pot and place the plant and medium in a replacement pot of the same size. If severe handling damage is involved, phone the local carrier's office for a claim inspection report, and return the plants to us for credit within 14 days of receiving them. Delayed shipments may result in damaged plants, which will recover with tender care.
We are confident that our interest and care in processing your order, combined with your integrity and understanding, will continue to result in very minimal occasions of returns and claims.

We make every attempt to ensure that plants are labeled correctly, but in any event our liability is limited to the purchase price of the plant involved. Orders are processed as received and are shipped in a timely manner, unless weather prevents safe delivery.
